Tan Lip Seng
Award-winning photographer

Tan Lip Seng's passion for photography began at 12 as a hobby, and has since then flourished to win for him numerous accolades and awards both locally and from international salons.

His collection of achievements includes being ranked as one of the world's top ten pictorial colour slide exhibitors for 20 successive years from 1969 - 1988. In recognition of his artistic talent and creativity, and for his commendable achievement in photography, he was awarded the Singapore Cultural Medallion, Singapore's highest award in Arts, in 1985.

Internationally, he also clinched his 2 nd Diamond Galaxy Exhibitor rating in 1996, being the 5 th person in the world to do so. In 1999, Tan put Singapore on the map by being the first Singaporean to be honoured as a Fellow of the Photographic Society of America (FPSA).

Today, Tan continues to contribute significantly as Arts Advisor of the Singapore National Arts Council, and involves himself in projects internationally.
